End of 2024 Fall Season

Hello WASC Families!

What a great 2024 Fall Soccer Season we had!

Not only because we couldn't have asked for better weather during all the 9-10 weeks of practices and games, but also because all our kids in all our WASC programs did a FANTASTIC job!

A HUGE THANK YOU to all the coaches and parents that contributed tremendously to have a successful, encouraging and fan program!

Thank you to all the parents for showing great supportive sideline behavior this season:

“Good Job!” “Keep working hard” “Go, team!

We hope all the players and coaches enjoyed the well deserved Kona Ice surprise at the end of the last practices of Little Dribblers, Intramurals and Travel teams!

Little Dribblers and Intramurals players showed great improvements through the season, thanks to the great individual work and enthusiastic guidance from coaches and parents.

This season, thanks to Sarah Loose who coordinated the work with the local photography company, we were able to get individual and team pictures taken for Little Dribblers and Intramurals. Next Spring, we will do the same for the Travel teams.

BIG THANK YOU as well to Sarah Loose and Lauren Zuidema for helping to manage the Snack Bar and thank you to all the parents that volunteered/worked multiple shifts this season.

As mentioned in previous emails, all the profits are being used to pay for the irrigation system repair (that was finished last week ... yay!), which will bring great improvements for our fields. .

I also wanted to mention that all our Travel teams (U9 through U12) did a terrific job this season in their respective divisions/tiers and many of the teams ended up within the top 3 places. At this level, we don't focus on scoring or results to prioritize the process of learning and having fun, but I think it is important to recognize and congratulate those teams and players that highlighted this season. A couple teams finished undefeated. Two teams won all their games and their divisions (U12 Boys Strikers and U9 girls Spartans A). The U10 Boys A team won all their games except a game that ended in a tie. Awesome job! All the travel teams this season had a main coach and assistant coaches which helped tremendously to empower player's development and team improvements. Special thanks to all the "first-time" coaches and players that joined a "competitive" travel team for the first time this season and won several games, which is an impressive achievement for such a small Community (but with a big heart and passion) like Wyomissing.  Hopefully all of you are motivated to keep doing it

I hope all the kids and families return in Spring 2025, and help us to invite, motivate and welcome new members to our WASC family. Registrations will be open in early December for Little Dribblers, Intramural and Travels. I will send an email when they are open, and it will also be posted on our website and social media.

As a final note, thank you for trusting in our soccer program and allowing us to have fun and teach your kids the wonderful benefits of sports in life, in particular, the impact of "the beautiful game" (also called soccer). See you in Spring!

Have a wonderful family time and Happy Thanksgiving next week!
